New year's resolutions 2016 in review - 8

8. Go on holiday – SUCCESS

When I added this resolution to my list, the first thing I did was contact Explore and ask for one of their brochures.

As a long-term singleton I've learnt my strengths and weaknesses, and travelling alone is definitely the latter. Instead I was going to make the most of Explore and go on another of their tours, probably somewhere in Europe, maybe further afield, but what really mattered is that I could travel alone without having to be alone – no getting lost, missing the important landmarks or wimping out of X, Y or Z because I couldn't speak the language. It was going to be the easiest of the resolutions to achieve if I could just do a bit of saving.

Then I found myself no longer single. We went for a week in Florence. It was wonderful.
